Unit cargo transport

Unit cargo transport is an efficient solution for incidental transport. The system is designed in such a way that trains exchange wagons at junctions on a European level. In the Netherlands, for example, the wagons are collected in Zwijndrecht. There, the wagons are arranged into complete trains that travel to the destination country on a fixed schedule.

Higher weight, bigger volume

The advantage of unit cargo transport, compared to transport by road, is that it allows for bigger and heavier loads. A wagon with a sliding side has room for approximately 167m3 and 63 tonnes of cargo. If your company does not have its own railway connection, you can use a public loading and unloading site.
